Furniture from the street…

… Frank and I have collected many items of furniture which we have picked up from the street from people or businesses having had a clear out! Not that we are on the lookout but we sometimes stumble across these interesting items. 🙂

These are chairs from a hair salon, go up/down and swivel, mucho fun for the children and quite clearly very comfortable!!

Nail varnish tip

, , , ,

Have you like me always been vigorously shaking your nail varnish bottle before using it? Well DON’T. It will create a multitude of small bubbles which will rise to the surface after you apply your nail varnish. It will also dry it out quicker.
Simply roll it in between the palm of your hands. 🙂

I would also highly recommend a natural brand which is non toxic, lasts longer and does not have the strong chemical smell which you can find in high street shops. Added to that, you can share your favourite colors with little ones not having to worry about them putting their fingers in their mouths!

Mascara tip

, ,

Do you ever end up very nearly looking like this by the end of the day?

Well, if like me you end up with a grey cloud under your eye by the end of the day or mascara smudging because of watery eyes then gel mascara will solve the problem. It coats the eyelashes really thinly allowing you to add as much thickness as you need. Best of all, you do not need to purchase an eye make up remover. You can simply use a cotton pad dampened with warm water and gently remove it effectively whilst leaving absolutely no residue around the eye. This means that you do not need to repeatedly wipe around the delicate eye area therefore preventing damaging the skin over a period of time.

One of my favourite creations from the beauty industry lately.

Our beautiful children

Clara was born in a birthing centre in South London and her brother Axel was born at home on Christmas day. With the help of hypnobirthing, relaxation, good nutrition and regular gentle exercise, both of them were born completely naturally, Clara in water but Axel left me no time to get into the water as he was born so quickly!
If you are looking to give birth completely naturally, I cannot recommend hypnobirthing enough. It will help you connect with your body and baby, teach you relaxing and breathing techniques which you can use throughout your pregnancy and most importantly during birth. I was petrified at the idea of giving birth and my babies and I would not have been able to have the journey I have had without it.
